I teach Ashtanga yoga classes in the tradition of Mysore. I began practicing with my teacher Christine Hoar in 2010, and I began teaching in 2016. I teach out of a love for the practice, and am so grateful to be bringing Ashtanga to Midcoast Maine.
I currently offer 3 classes per week in 2 locations in Freedom and Unity. Anyone is welcome to drop in to any class!
The Half Primary is a led class, with the teacher guiding students through part of the primary series. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to led classes.
Mysore classes are traditional self-paced classes with individualized instruction, great for beginners and experienced students alike. Mysore students may arrive any time within the practice period. Knowledge of the primary series is not necessary to attend a Mysore class.

I believe that this practice is for anyone who feels called to it and aim to make my classes an accessible and safer space for many kinds of bodies. I also aim for financial accessibility, and keep my classes reasonably priced. Please reach out if you need financial assistance to attend class.
I provide hands-on adjustments as part of my teaching. These adjustments are optional, and I always welcome you to request changes or opt out of receiving adjustments. Please feel free to contact me outside of class if you would like to discuss anything regarding your experience, including how I can make my classes feel safer and more nourishing for you.
I am aware of the complex history of the dissemination of yoga and my place as a white woman teaching this practice. I do not aim to become a brand in the yoga world, and I place myself within the ashtanga yoga lineage. I give a portion of my yoga income to Sakhi For Girls Education in Mumbai, India.
You are welcome to approach me with any concerns or questions!
